Safed musli is a medicinal plant that is native to south India  Botanically called "chlorophytum borivillanium", with  medicinal properties, it is being increasingly used the world over in making beauty care products, health giving and nutraceutical food supplements.  It requires adequate water and good drainage system. On an average this crop gives an yield of 20-30 quintals of wet musli per acre. After peeling and drying up nearly 20 percent(4-4.5 quintals) dry musli is finally obtained.
